Traveling with Minors: All travelers who are 17 or under at the time they complete their online Travel Profile are considered a minor (This includes individuals who will be 18 years old on the departure date of the team). The expected ratio is 1 adult per 4 minors (14-17), unless otherwise approved by FH staff. Minors age 14 to 17 are not required to travel with a parent or legal guardian. However, their parent or legal guardian is required to grant a medical Power of Attorney to an adult traveling with the team. Minors age 13 and under are required to travel with a parent or legal guardian. If the minor is under the age of 10, their travel must be pre-approved by Food for the Hungry staff. All minors are required to have their parent or legal guardian complete the Risk Disclosure for Minors form. Minors under the age of 13 are also required to have their parent or legal guardian complete the Safeguarding Policy form. Completed forms must be mailed to the Food for the Hungry office.
